Many of our items will accomodate maternity
simply because of how we've designed them with extra adjustability
for extra comfort. But because not everyone is the same
and let's face it, sometimes someone just wants
something that just fits a little "different" than other
people like it to fit. So, some of our items have also been
designed specifically with maternity in mind - maybe a top
that's a little more adjustable or has a little more fabric, or our
maternity-cut pants and shorts, with all the same great style so no
one will ever know it's for maternity but the waistband is a little
lower, designed to go under your belly bump for
even better fit.

As a mother
of five and also as someone who's addicted to comfort, I

These are our same GREAT patch pants,
but with a lower front rise to go under your
growing belly, and a slightly lower back rise for comfort - all
other measurements are the same, so you won't sacrifice style! These
pants and shorts can easily be worn before, during, and
after! (Order your regular size, but you might want
to double-check your current measurements with out Garment Sizes chart to
make sure you order the most comfortable
size.)

Breastfeeding Access for Tops and
Dresses
All of our adjustable drawstring
TOPS and DRESSES can be made with Breastfeeding
Access.
Breastfeeding access is created with the
addition of a "double bodice" - the "outer bodice" which you see in
the pictures, and an "under-bodice" which has two vertical
nursing openings and is created of the same fabric as the
"outer bodice" or of a complementary fabric (if you choose a
total-patch "outer bodice", the "under-bodice" will be a solid
complementary fabric). The under-bust drawstring remains, and the
addition of thin, stretchy enclosed elastic in the other bodice
layer makes ensures simple, convenient, modest nursing access
without sacrificing any of the
style!
For you Tandem Mommies, the vertical nursing
openings will accomodate tandem nursing for
you!

Fabrication
Our
Adjustable Sexy Top features adjustable drawstring
at empire waist beneath bust and at neckline - PERFECT for a GREAT
fit before, during, and after! Can be worn several
ways and shows as little (or as much) skin as you want! Fully lined
single-fabric bodice which can also be created from patch
fabric upon request, and patch "apron skirt" lower portion
of top.
Very adjustable, but if you're like me and gain
tons of weight, you might want to order one size
larger than you're regular size. (I gained 60 or more pounds with
several of my babies!)
This top can also be made with BREASTFEEDING ACCESS -
be sure to order the NURSING style.

your baby in HIP STYLE!! We don't need to tell you why
Cloth diapers are great for baby and great for the
environment - and we don't need to tell you how hard it is to
find cloth diapers and covers that are both FUN and
EFFECTIVE! I've been cloth diapering my babies for over 16
years, and I've learned a few things along the way. I'm
completely sold on POCKET DIAPERS
- but I'm not so happy with the high prices for BORING
pocket diapers!! I absolutely love the flexibility of being
able to "stuff" a pocket diaper or use it just like a regular diaper
cover, I love the ease of caring for pocket diapers with the
convenience of an All-In-One without the long dry cycle or other
inconveniences.
Our
HipMommyHipBaby Snap Pocket Diapers are made with a
hidden layer of PROCARE leakproof fabric (for more
information on ProCare, see
below), an inner layer of super-soft fleece
next to baby, and an outer layer of specially-designed fashion or
patchwork fabric, all either bound together with soft fold-over
elastic or stitched and turned with enclosed elastic (your choice);
our pocket opening is in the front for better
comfort and fit. Just stuff the pocket diaper by tucking a
prefold diaper or other "stuffer" inside the pocket (between
the fleece and ProCare layers), or simply lay the flat diaper inside
like you would use any standard diaper cover (this way you should be
able to use the pocket diaper several times before moving on to a
different one, instead of just once).
Our
HipMommyHipBaby Snap Pocket Diapers are made with
two rows of high-quality resin snaps (applied with a
professional-grade snap press) so you can easily adjust the
diaper to accomodate baby's waist, hips, and thighs. I know, I know
- many people LOVE the ease and adjustability of velcro more than
they like snaps - but after using so many cloth diapers over so
many years, I've discovered that snaps are so much less
hassle!! Snaps don't stick to each other (and to other
things) during wash and dry, snaps don't scratch baby's belly or
thighs, snaps don't stick to clothing if they're not hooked "just
right" - well, you get the idea. But if you abolusolutely
MUST have velcro, please email
me - I've made (and used) many, many diapers with
velcro and will be happy to accomodate your request at a tiny
additional fee to cover the extra cost of the velcro. (I make velcro
diapers with foldover laundry tabs to minimize "sticking" during
laundering.)

Snap Pocket Diapers can be made in almost any of our
different Patch Fabrications, but because of the small size, we
highly recommend that you select 3-4 predominant
colors and let us choose several patch fabrics for you
based on that. Of course, we are always happy to work
closely with you to get the exact look you want - just
ask!

* Each HipMommyHipBaby
Snap Pocket Diaper is individually created and each diaper
will ultimately look different, at least a little - this may be the
result of different size diapers, different fabrications, or just
plain differences for the sake of variety.

* On occasion, a large
order of diapers or wraps may take longer than our standard two-week
creation time - this is usually due to additional diaper fabric
needing to be ordered to accomodate a large order.
~ * HipMommyHipBaby Snap Pocket Diaper
prices DO NOT include an inner diaper or
"stuffer", because we've found that most families
already have stuffers to use. If you need Stuffers for your

Here's what the manufacturer
says about
ProCare: ProCare is a soft but extremely durable
barrier fabric. A soft polymer laminated to a tough polyester knit
(the laminate forms the good side of the fabric.) ProCare is
used by leading manufacturers who produce diaper covers, swim
diapers, laundry bags, mattress covers, adult incontinent products,
and a wide range of medical accessories. It's more durable and safer
than sheet PULs. Expect 300 commercial launderings (1000 home
launderings.)
I've personally
got some ProCare diapers that have gone thorugh almost 6 months of
weekly launderings - washer AND dryer - and they still look and work
GREAT!! I've been using very successfully using my HipMommyHipBaby Snap Pocket
Diapers as
OVERNIGHT diapers for our
VEEEEEEEERY heavy-wetting 2-year-old for quite a while and I've
had NO problems with leakage at all - and my 2yo seems to leak
through just about everything else overnight! Please
be aware, however, that no diaper is absolutely
waterproof if the baby is left too wet for too long - and
when there's an outer layer of non-waterproof fabric, there's always
a possobility of "wicking" to occur (again, usually only when baby
is too wet for too long). We do not use any extra chemicals
or sprays on our diapers or covers - in the
extremely rare chance that you find your diaper
wicks, you may want to use Camp-Dry (Wal-Mart) or Nikwax (typically
at fabric stores) to add a little extra protection.
